Meet the Trainers

Live TD Training is led by working industry professionals who understand the realities of apparel production.

Our instructors bring years of hands-on experience across technical design, patternmaking, and product development. We teach from lived experience — not textbooks.

Grace Profile
Grace Daniels Cervantes

Technical Design & Product Development Specialist

Grace is a senior technical designer and product development specialist with over 15 years of experience bringing apparel from concept through production for major retailers, licensed brands, private label, and e-commerce companies.  She especially enjoys helping brands and influencers launch their apparel merchandise to market so they can focus on what they do best.

Her career began in design and product development, giving her a rare ability to bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution. She specializes in building clear, production-ready tech packs, leading fit from first proto through TOP, and creating efficient development processes that reduce sampling rounds, improve vendor communication, and ensure garments hit production accurately and on time.

Grace has worked across women’s, men’s, plus, infants, toddler, and childrenswear in knit, woven, sweater, and seamless categories. She is highly experienced in PLM systems, overseas vendor communication, graded specs, construction standards, and maintaining fit consistency across entire product lines.

Known for her clear communication style and strong cross-functional collaboration, Grace works closely with design, production, sourcing, and overseas factories to translate ideas into well-executed product. She is especially skilled at creating structure where teams need clarity — improving tech pack standards, fit processes, and development workflows that teams continue to use long after implementation.

Areas of focus include:

  • Building production-ready tech packs and spec standards

  • Leading 1st proto through TOP fit cycles

  • Improving development and sampling efficiency

  • Vendor communication and troubleshooting

  • PLM organization and technical documentation

  • Maintaining fit consistency across categories and brands

  • Supporting design and production teams with clear technical direction

Carla Profile
Carla Moran

Technical Designer | Patternmaker | 3D Innovation

Carla brings decades of hands-on experience across technical design, patternmaking, and apparel product development, including extensive work with 3D fit and digital garment workflows. She has supported brands through real production timelines, real fit challenges, and real cross-functional pressure — not idealized processes.

Her approach to teaching blends traditional technical fundamentals with modern 3D tools, helping professionals understand how digital workflows can support clearer decision-making, better communication, and fewer costly errors. Carla is known for making both technical and 3D concepts feel approachable, practical, and grounded in everyday work realities.

She is especially attuned to the emotional realities of the apparel industry. Having seen how speed, unclear expectations, and rapid technology shifts impact teams, Carla teaches in a way that emphasizes clarity over complexity and confidence over performance pressure.

Areas of focus include:

  • Fit evaluation and calm, effective troubleshooting (in 2D and 3D contexts)

  • Measurement standards, spec clarity, and size consistency

  • Patternmaking collaboration across traditional and digital workflows

  • Tech pack development that integrates clearly with 3D visualization

  • Using 3D tools to support communication, alignment, and production readiness
